MMD should leave Post News Editor Chansa Kabwela alone. While the photos, maybe worth of condemnation, there are several issues which are being raised. The fact is MMD government has been a disaster to women in Zambia . The best measure to see how bad MMD has failed is to look at the lives of struggling Zambian women. Even the medical strike itself is about women issues who are the majority in the nursing field; which this government has failed to resolve. MMD must speak for both woman in photo and women nurses on strike.
Since 1991, Zambia women are being forced into destitution. MMD has done nothing for women and does not a policy to improve women’s health, education and economic empowerment. Enough with government speeches which delivers nothing to women.
While MMD is condemning the photos, MMD government must be accountable for failing to provide community maternity survives and transportation near to the place where this woman live. Why should women endure long distances to primary health centers? MMD government is guilty of failing to deliver public health services and must be ashamed to speak about photos.
MMD government failures have contributed to our young women and girls to engage in survival acts to earn money for food and support families. This government has brought misery to women by failing to implement policies which would empower them to economic opportunities.
And MMD still want another mandate to govern beyond 2011? Same people, same party, same manifesto doing same thing again; We say NO!
